PUROLITE PD-206: Purolite resin is a biodiesel dry wash ion exchange resin that functions as a desiccant specially formulated to enable maximum removal of free glycerin as well as catalyst, soaps and salts from crude biodiesel. It is designed for use in “purification” vessels primarily installed after phase separation and before or after demethylation.

Purolite Ion Exchange Resin (IOX) is a cost effective method of purifying biodiesel by removing glycerin and ionic contaminants with a simple, low energy process that eliminates water wash steps. Purolite resin reduces waste disposal of both liquids and solids. Since resin regeneration can return PD-206 to almost new condition; Purolite resins can be reused for many years before disposal.
