In addition to the Starter Kit ($1,350.00), we offer an optional Methanol Recovery System ($150.00). Since biodiesel production is on a smaller scale, the amount of methanol recovered is correspondingly small. The demonstration, however, provides a visual experience of how methanol is recovered.

Starter Kit Chemicals: The two chemical ingredients you will need to use with our Biodiesel Starter Kits are, Potassium Hydroxide (KOH), and Methanol. While they can be sourced locally, if you find difficulty in obtaining them in small enough quantities for your use, you can order them here. Methanol comes in a 900mL bottle and KOH in a 2lb. bottle.
Note: The two chemicals can't be shipped together, so they will arrive separately. Whereas Methanol is sent via FedEx SmartPost, KOH is sent via FedEx Ground. When you order them together, price includes shipping for both.
